Cape Town - Zane Kirchner is likely to start at fullback for the Springboks in their Rugby Championship Test against Australia in Brisbane on Saturday.

Bok coach Heyneke Meyer on Monday said he will make changes as he needed to freshen up his starting XV to help them cope with a taxing travel schedule.

Kirchner, no fan favourite of the SA public, has not played for the Boks since the Test against England at Twickenham last November, but according to the SA Rugbymag website, he is likely to line up in the No 15 jersey at the Suncorp Stadium.

Willie le Roux will shift to the wing, with Bjorn Basson dropping to the bench.

In other expected changes, Bismarck du Plessis is set to replace Adriaan Strauss at hooker, and Flip van der Merwe also likely to replace Juandré Kruger at lock.

The Springbok team is expected to be named early on Wednesday morning (SA time), with kick-off on Saturday at 12:05.
