Pumas duo to face the music

Cape Town - Argentine duo Leonardo Senatore and Pablo Matera will appear at separate SANZAR judicial hearings after being cited for alleged foul play during their Rugby Championship match against South Africa over the weekend.

SANZAR duty judicial officer Adam Casselden reviewed the citings of the two players and decided further action was needed.

Senatore is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (m) - acts contrary to good sportsmanship when he allegedly bit Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth. The incident occurred in the 61st minute of the match at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza, which the Boks won 22-17.

Matera is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (m) - acts contrary to good sportsmanship when he allegedly made contact with the eyes of Bok flank Francois Louw in the 45th minute of the match.

Terry Willis will be the judicial officer for the hearings that will be held consecutively via video conference on Wednesday.
