Johannesburg - The Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) has announced that Emirates Airline Park has been completely sold out for South Africa’s Rugby Championship Test against New Zealand scheduled for Saturday, July 25.

This is the third consecutive year that the Springboks v All Blacks Test is a complete sell out at Emirates Airline Park (formerly Ellis Park).

A crowd of 62 000 is expected.

GLRU Chief Executive Officer Rudolf Straeuli is thrilled with the uptake of tickets and is excited to once again host a capacity crowd - especially since 2015 marks the twentieth anniversary of the 1995 Rugby World Cup triumph.

“It is wonderful for us to fill Emirates Airline Park, once again, in this milestone year,” Straeuli told the Lions’ official website.

“We are looking forward to hosting supporters at our historic venue and hope the day will provide a great deal of entertainment and wonderful memories for all.”

In last year's Test in Johannesburg between the two sides, the Boks won 27-25 after a late long-range penalty slotted by Pat Lambie.
