Hansen: Boks have grown another arm and a leg

Cape Town - All Black coach Steve Hansen is fully aware of the challenge that awaits his side against the Springboks in Pretoria on Saturday.

The Boks are coming off back-to-back Rugby Championship victories against the All Blacks in Wellington and Australia in Port Elizabeth, and despite his side having already secured the 2018 tournament title, Hansen knows that the Boks are growing all the time.

"They're a pretty confident side at the moment," he said after naming his side for Saturday's clash at Loftus.

"The Boks have grown another arm and a leg since they knocked us over and I thought they played really well against Australia. They'll be looking forward to fronting up again on Saturday."

The rivalry between the sides has been subdued in recent years given the All Blacks' dominance, but the Wellington win means that it will be back to its most fierce at Loftus.

"We've got two teams that are going to go at it ... two big bulls in the bull pen and it's last man standing," Hansen said.

"That's what Test match rugby is all about and I think that's what the fans want to see too, really close games.

"Our job now is to try and turn the tables on them, but they're really confident and they'll be hard to beat."

Kick-off is at 17:05.
