Cape Town - After blowing the French crowd away on Sunday, the newly-crowned 2016/17 Sevens World Series champions, South Africa, spent their final day in Paris on set with Tom Cruise.

The Blitzboks celebrated their triumph in Paris by visiting famous Hollywood actors, Cruise and Simon Pegg, on the set of the new Mission: Impossible 6 film.

The Blitzboks defeated Scotland 15-5 in Sunday's Cup final, which secured the South Africans the overall World Series title.

By clinching the Paris Sevens title, Neil Powell's charges claimed their fifth tournament of the season. Along with Paris, they have won in Dubai, Wellington, Sydney and Las Vegas.

The South Africans also contested the finals in Cape Town, Vancouver and Hong Kong.

They will be crowned champions this weekend when the series concludes with the London Sevens.

This is second World Rugby Sevens title and their first title since the 2008/09 season.

The Blitzboks now head to London where they will face Kenya, Wales and USA in a tough Pool A at Twickenham.

The top five sides on the log are:

1. South Africa 179

2. England 145

3. Fiji 142

4. New Zealand 127

5. USA 114

Got the chance to meet Tom Cruise this morning while on set of the new Mission Impossible movie. Such a nice guy??
