Springboks' Test record against the All Blacks

London - The All Blacks - apart from Japan - are the only country the Springboks have a losing Test record against.

Saturday’s Rugby World Cup semi-final will be the 91st between the two countries.

South Africa’s record against New Zealand heading into the match at Twickenham, reads: P: 90; W: 35; L: 52; D: 3 for a win percentage of 39%.

Overall, the South Africans have scored 1 412 points compared to the All Blacks' 1 745, giving an average score of 19-16 in favour of the New Zealanders.

South Africa and New Zealand have met three times previously in World Cup matches.

In 1995 the Springboks memorably won 15-12 after extra-time in the final in Johannesburg.

In 1999 the Springboks once again emerged victorious, this time 22-18 in the third/fourth place playoff at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

New Zealand's lone World Cup success came in 2003 in the quarter-finals in Melbourne where they won 29-9.
