Cape Town - Following their 37-14 win over France in Pretoria on Saturday, the Springboks have moved up two spots in the official World Rugby rankings.

The Springboks are now ranked at No 5, up from the lowly No 7 position they had previously occupied.

Having picked up just over one rating point for their efforts at Loftus Versfeld, the Boks moved to 82.87 points, taking them above Scotland and France.

The French, who get the chance for revenge in the second Test in Durban this weekend, lost the identical amount of points and dropped to No 8, with Wales moving up one place to seventh as a result.

The rest of the ranking positions in the top 10 remain unchanged.
