Change ... it doesn't come often to major northern hemisphere international rugby.

Traditionalists might argue that it is exactly why the pride-and-joy Six Nations is held in such consistently high esteem, with its single-round intensity and boutique feel.

While the southern hemisphere equivalent of the Rugby Championship, at least in its "normal" years, may well have reason to claim slight supremacy from a rugby calibre point of view - only one World Cup trophy has ever gone into a northern cabinet - it is also sometimes accused of having a more laborious, bloated feel with its usually double-round formula.
