ON THIS DAY | Springboks edge Wales to reach Rugby World Cup final

On this day (27 October) a year ago, the Springboks edged Wales 19-16 in Yokohama to reach the Rugby World Cup final.

AS IT HAPPENED | Springboks v Wales

Centre Damian de Allende scored South Africa's only try, while flyhalf Handre Pollard kicked four penalties and a conversion.

The Boks would go on to beat England 32-12 in the final the following week.
