Durban - Gary Teichmann had the honour of handing out the Springbok matchday jerseys on Friday ahead of Saturday's second Test against France in Durban.

Teichmann is the current CEO of the Sharks, but he has 42 Test caps to his name.

He captained the Boks in 32 of those matches, winning 26 of them before eventually being sacked as skipper by Nick Mallett in 1999.

Current Bok captain Warren Whiteley, born in Durban, has had his style of play and leadership compared to that of the now-50-year-old Teichmann.

This will be Whiteley's second match as Bok captain.

The Boks have kept their side largely unchanged for Saturday's clash, with the only change from the side that won 37-14 in Pretoria last weekend seeing Lionel Mapoe come straight into the starting line-up for Jesse Kriel, who suffered a head knock in that match.

If the Boks win in Durban on Saturday, they will take an unassailable 2-0 lead into the final Test of the series in Johannesburg next weekend.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 17:05.
