21:26 - QUOTE

"We were more clinical tonight. We're not happy with the performance, but happy with the win. At least we were able to score three tries but there's room for improvement," said Springbok captain Jean de Villiers.

That was not best of games @ all but will take win ,the ref was to much involve in the match game, gave lot of penaties, stop start affair just did not let game to flow at all - Lungisa Dzingwe

Ugly as Guthro's mustage... Lambie played badly and made poor kicking decisions! - Mervyn Byleveldt

haha luckily I'm not so narrow minded to judge on one performance I love this backline and I'm pretty sure it will click sooner rather than later - Rikus Le Charl Swart

Rugby is becoming a sissy game, shame on the ref!!! - Jaco De Beer

I am so happy! We won ! Springboks 3 tries to Zero. Excellent. Bokke maak my dag !! - Gerald Bestenbier

Did just enough to win..remember, Wales are the current champs of the North..also the biggest victory against since early 2000.. - Marc Christensen

don't think the field is up to Test match status- played a major factor - Brian Smit

21:25 - SUMMARY

A solid enough win for the Springboks. They took their chances and were more composed under pressure. There are some worrying issues though with some gaping holes in midfield, some issues at scrum time and a high penalty count, but they nevertheless shut up a big-talking Wales...

21:25 - TWEETS

Welsh commentators rival the Aussies for the title of most one-eyed. Can't believe some of their comments... - Brenden Nel

Wales always talk a good game. Until Wales beat the south , well what have they done? What's your opinion? Pls - David Campese

21:21 - The Boks win a penalty and kick it out and that's GAME OVER: Wales 15-24 South Africa. Wales still have only beaten the Springboks once in over a 100 years.

21:20 - Wales launch a counter-attack but George North knocks on with the goal-line begging. That was Wales' last chance.

21:18 - Ruan Pienaar is now on for Fourie du Preez - my Man of the Match.

21:17 - Lambie misses another drop attempt but he keeps Wales pegged back inside their own half. Only three minutes left now. The Boks will nick another win in Cardiff...

21:15 - A good scrum and clearance from Willie le Roux drives Wales back deep into their own half.

21:14 - Seven minutes left. Bok scrum midway inside their own half.

21:12 - But Adriaan Strauss brilliantly turns the ball over and the Boks are off the hook as they kick down-field.

21:10 - Wales launch a counter-attack after the ball bounced favourably on the half-way line. They now have an attacking penalty five-metres out. They take a tap kick...

21:08 - Oosthuizen and Jenkins back from the sin-bin and Pieter-Steph du Toit replaces Eben Etzebeth to MAKE HIS TEST DEBUT. His grandfather, the late Piet "Spiere" du Toit, would be proud.

21:07 - Boks now playing the game in the right side of the field - inside the Wales 22m area. Lets hope they stay there.

21:04 - Lambie CONVERTS. Wales 15-24 SA after 65 minutes.

21:03 - TRY! Fourie du Preez is a genius. He puts a brilliant kick through down the touchline, gets a favourable bounce and receives a flick pass from Jaque Fourie to score under the posts!

Commentator Bryan Moore (former England hooker) claims Jaque Fourie was in front of the ball but I'll say that was simply brilliant.

IRB please you have to up your game with your refs, the players and coaches are doing more then their part, but you need to stay with it! - Breyton Paulse

That is just shocking - Coenie is the sub prop, hasn't been warned - reminds me of '99 - Mallett wiill tell you we were ambushed - Dan Retief

21:00 - But he just doesn't have the legs. Where is Frans Steyn when you need him?!

20:59 - Lambie now gets a chance with a long-range penalty from about 45m out...

20:58 - Lambie fails with a long-range drop attempt.Wales 15-17 SA after 60 minutes.

20:56 - Oh no, Beast knocks the ball on with the goal-line begging... Another scrum, inside the Wales 22m area.

20:55 - There will be 10 minutes of uncontested scrums now. My word, scrums are killing rugby as a spectacle...

Another mess at the scrum. And now Coenie and Gethin Jenkins are both sent off for 10 minutes!

20:52 - TWEET

Thank the pope this is the last game for Rolland ... Loves the sound of his own voice and whistle, along with spotlight - Front Row Grunt

20:51 - That was a dodgy penalty from Rolland though. Both props seemed to go down! But Coenie Oostuizen is now on for Malherbe.

20:51 - PICTURE

Leigh Halfpenny keeps Wales in touch (Getty Images).

20:50 - PENALTY by Halfpenny. Wales 15-17 SA after 55 minutes. 5 out of 5 for Halfpenny now.

20:49 - Scrum penalty against Frans Malherbe in the middle of the park about 30m out. Three points coming up...

20:45 - A round of applause from the crowd as Joost van der Westhuizen is shown on the big screen watching the game. Good touch from the Welsh there. The former Bok scrumhalf is suffering from Motor Neuron Disease. Good to see him at the game!

The officiating in this match has just turned into a complete farce. Only one side being looked at and warned - David van der Sandt

Just when Boks do the same as Wales & flood the breakdown, they get blown up by ref! #2setsofrules - Ashfak Mohamed

20:42 - Good defence and discipline this time from the Boks though as Wales lose the ball without making any ground. Bok scrum coming up...

20:41 - Wales now attack close to the Bok 22m line...

20:40 - Etzebeth penalised for grabbing the neck of Welsh lock Bradley Davies in the lineout. Boks are warned for their discipline - and rightly so! They're conceding way too many penalties.

20:39 - Louw now back from the sin-bin. He is greeted by a chorus of boos from the stands...

20:37 - TWEET

Malherbe passing the test thus far ... Scrumming in a little, and the odd slip, but pitch is crap. Defence has been excellent ... - Front Row Grunt

20:35 - Wales now have an attacking lineout on the Bok 22m line. They set up a strong driving maul but Eben Etzebeth comes through the middle and forces a turnover.

20:34 - Attacking lineout inside the Welsh half but the Boks concede a penalty on the ground. Willem Alberts holding onto the ball on the ground...

20:33 - Lambie gets the second half underway.

20:31 - Welcome back for the second half. Surely Heyneke Meyer has told his players to improve their discipline, especially with Halfpenny not looking like missing, and lets hope those gaps in the midfield will be shut in the second period.

20:29 - TWEET

Welsh bloke sitting next to me says Louw should have got a red for that! Sums up the desperation of the supporters maybe! - Matt Pearce

20:28 - PICTURE

Bismarck du Plessis. Immensely physical as always... (AFP)

20:20 - The break has come at just the right time for the Boks as the high-tempo game of the Welsh seems to be catching them a bit. They need to regroup as there are too many gaping holes in their midfield defence!

20:22 - TWEET

Boks have hardly played & they lead Six Nations champs Wales 17-12 ... - Mark Keohane

"Flo" receives his marching orders... (AFP)

20:20 - HALF-TIME arrives. Wales 12-17 South Africa

20:17 - The dangerous James Hook finds more gaps in the Bok midfield. Alarming signs.

20:15 - YELLOW CARD for Louw. It was similar to what Bismarck did against the All Blacks earlier this year... A fair yellow card for me, although the Welsh commentators think it's harsh.

20:14 - He could be in trouble for using his elbow... he drove his elbow into one of the Welsh players. The crowds shouts 'OFF, OFF'.

20:13 - There's a TMO report for foul play against one of the Springbok players... It's against flank Francois Louw.

Don't give away kickable penalties because Halfpenny doesn't look like missing!

20:11 - But he coolly slots thePENALTY. Wales 12-17 SA after 34 minutes.

20:09 - More pressure on Boks as De Villiers drops the ball in midfield. Wales kick it up-field and win a penalty when Habana is caught in possession. Halfpenny lines up from the touchline. Tough kick though.

20:09 - And on the next scrum the Boks win a penalty!

20:08 - Another blow for Wales as prop Adam Jones limps off. He is replaced by Scott Andrews.

20:06 - But this time the Boks keep their discipline and get a scrum when Wales knock it on after a concerted period of attack. But the gaps in the Springbok midfield are quite alarming...

20:04 - Wales ripping through Bok defence as they move inside 22m area. Some poor tackling in midfield by the Boks!

20:03 - Wales out of jail as they get a penalty when the Boks pull one of their players back... Promising attacking move butchered... Beast was the culprit there.

20:01 - Boks right back on attack as Wales drop a high ball. Attacking scrum in the middle of the field just outside the Welsh 22m area...

19:59 - PENALTY converted by Halfpenny. Wales 9-17 SA after 24 minutes.

19:58 - Another penalty for Wales as referee Alain Rolland warns the Springboks for using hands in the ruck. Halfpenny lines up from about 30m out just to the right of the uprights...

19:57 - Penalty to Wales after the first scrum. They set up an attacking lineout just inside the Springbok half...

19:56 - The first scrum of the match collapses. Baptism of fire for debutant Frans Malherbe?

19:54 - Willie le Roux is now on at fullback.

19:53 - STEYN OFF

That kick was Steyn's last act as he leaves the field. Not sure what's wrong. Lambie now at pivot.

19:52 - Steyn adds the easy CONVERSION. Wales 6-17 SA after 17 minutes.

19:51 - TRY! Bismarck barges over after a dominant Bok maul! Wales at sixes and sevens here, they can't handle the Boks' power.

19:50 - Penalty to the Boks as Wales try to collapse the driving maul... Steyn goes for the corner, not for touch.

19:49 - Boks set up an attacking lineout inside the Wales 22m area...

Ashley Beck on at centre for Jonathan Davies (shoulder injury).

Wing Liam Williams is also off. He is being assessed for possible concussion.

19:45 - Crucial to that try was that Habana saw there was a hooker (Richard Hibbard) in front of him and he took him on. Habana against a fatty in midfield is simply a mis-match...

19:46 - PICTURE

Captain Jean de Villiers celebrates his try (AFP).

19:45 - Steyn CONVERTS. Wales 6-10 SA after 12 minutes.

19:44 - TRY!!! My word what a try from the Boks. Bryan Habana breaks from within his own half, runs about 30-odd metres before giving to Bismarck du Plessis who finds Jean de Villiers who barges over next to the posts!

19:41 - This is just simply ill-discipline from South Africa early on. Too many transgressions and slipping first time tackles!

19:41 - Halfpenny kicks thePENALTY. Wales 6-3 SA after 8 minutes.

19:39 - A clean linebreak from centre Jonathan Davies put Wales back on attack. They get another penalty as the Boks are penalised for hands in the ruck... Mistake on defence from Jaque Fourie there! Maybe a bit rusty from playing in Japan is he?

19:38 - Another good kick-off taken by Vermeulen., but Steyn doesn't find too much ground. Boks win lineout via Vermeulen though!

19:37 - PENALTY converted by Steyn. Wales 3-3 SA after 4 minutes.

19:36 - Boks hit right back as Wales are penalised for not releasing on the ground. Easy three pointer from almost in front for Steyn. He won't miss...

19:35 - PENALTY converted by Halfpenny. Wales 3-0 SA after 2 minutes.

19:34 - Immediately Wales look dangerous as they find a hole in the Bok midfield. They get a penalty early on... Leigh Halfpenny lines up from in front.

19:33 - Duane Vermeulen comfortably takes the first kick-off. Western Province will wonder where that was two weeks ago...

19:32 - Wales flyhalf Rhys Priestland gets things underway...

19:31 - TWEET

The Welsh will always do a great rendition of the opposition anthem...the French will give you Ras Dumisani - Rugga World

19:29 - Can't help but get goosebumps listening to the Welsh anthem and their passionate crowd. Best rugby crowds in the world when it comes to singing...

19:25 - Teams now getting ready for the national anthems... but first a minute's silence for those who died fighting in the World War...

19:22 - The roof is closed but the pitch is apparently still very slippery. Maybe a good kicking game will come in handily and with Morné Steyn and Pat Lambie in the Bok ranks they should have the upper hand there...

19:22 - The teams are getting ready to take to the field in Cardiff!

19:15 - Welcome to tonight's live commentary on the Bok Test. It's a tremendous atmosphere in Cardiff, with a packed crowd!

It's sure to be be a cracking game against the Six Nations champions who really feel this is their time to beat the Boks. I'm thinking otherwise and am going Springboks by 7! We've only ever lost to them once in 107 years after all...
