Cape Town - Chiefs lock Brodie Retallick is set to spend three more weeks on the sidelines while ligaments in his wrist heal.
Retallick suffered the injury in his team's Super Rugby win over the Blues on April 13, with head coach Colin Cooper confirming the setback.
"Brodie's probably another three weeks away, so we are looking at probably the Reds," Cooper said, with that match taking place on May 24.
The Chiefs are already without the services of star full-back Damian McKenzie, who was recently ruled out for the remainder of the season. However, there was positive news surrounding the fitness of flanker Sam Cane, who is poised to return against the Reds after a neck injury.
The Chiefs are currently in last position in the New Zealand Conference with a record of three wins from their ten games, with their next fixture seeing them travel to face the Highlanders before they host the Sharks on May 11 and then tackle the Blues on the road on May 18.
