Liked jilted lovers, the Cheetahs are playing with more than a point to prove during this year's Super Rugby Unlocked, after getting axed from the PRO14 competition.

Were it not for the Covid-19 high risk precautionary measures that forced their game against the Lions to be postponed, the men from Bloemfontein would probably be counting a three-wins-in-three record so far, based on form.

With the benefit of crystal clear hindsight, the Cheetahs' 19-17 win over the Bulls a week prior looks like an even better result than before the Bulls destroyed the Sharks at Loftus last Saturday.
