Cape Town - The Sharks have confirmed the signing of Junior Springbok and Eastern Province Kings centre Jeremy Ward.
Sport24 reported on Wednesday that the young centre will leave the financially stricken EP Rugby Union at the end of the season.
The Sharks confirmed via their official Twitter account that Ward will play Super Rugby for them next season.
Ward, who captained the SA Under-20 side at the recent World Rugby Under-20 Championships in England, will feature for the EP Under-21 side this year before leaving.

Ward captained the EP Under-19 last year when they won the national title. He also captained the EP Kings in the early part of this year’s Currie Cup Qualifiers, before being called up for Junior Springbok duty.
He made his Super Rugby debut as a replacement in the Southern Kings’ final two Super Rugby games this year.
