Cape Town - The Stormers and the Bulls have played to a 26-all draw in their Super Rugby warm-up encounter in Wellington on Saturday.

The visitors were first to open the scoring after good work from their forwards saw flanker Roelof Smith cross the whitewash for a converted try and a 7-0 lead.

The Stormers replied late in the first half thanks to a converted score from centre EW Viljoen who crashed over after a well executed attack.

The Bulls, however, regained their lead just before half-time as scrumhalf Andrew Warner scored.

Marnitz Boshoff added the conversion for the visitors to enter the break 14-7 up.

The Stormers then tied the match up at 14-all after a score through Cobus Wiese with the Bulls regaining the lead thanks to an unconverted try by Adriaan Strauss and a 19-14 lead.

The home side then hit the front for the first time when Cheetahs bound Craig Barry's converted score the score out to 21-14 in the 59th minute.

They extended their lead to 26-19 thanks to a Johan du Toit try after a kick ahead from replacement flyhalf, George Whitehead.

The Bulls tied up the game with three minutes to go thanks to their fourth try from replacement scrumhalf Embrose Papier.

A cool Manie LIbbok slotted the conversion to end that game at 26-all.
