Manchester — England assistant coaches Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree are barred from the dressing room from 15 minutes before kickoff until 10 minutes after full-time in the Rugby World Cup match against Uruguay on Saturday after admitting to approaching a match official during the loss to Australia last week.

World Cup organizers released a statement on Friday saying the coaches breached regulations by making unauthorized contact with the assistant referees at halftime at Twickenham. England lost the Pool A match 33-13, ending its chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

World Rugby said contact between team and match officials was banned on game day "to protect the integrity of the game."

Farrell and Rowntree received official reprimands, and will be restricted to the coach's box for the duration of the match at Manchester City Stadium.
