Twickenham - Australia suffered a blow when lock Adam Coleman was ruled out on the eve of their Cook Cup clash against England at Twickenham with a damaged thumb.

The in-form second row was included in the starting XV named by Wallaby coach Michael Cheika on Thursday despite concerns over an injury sustained during Australia's 29-21 win over Wales in Cardiff - a match in which he scored a try.

But the 27-year-old failed a fitness test on Friday. Now Blake Enever is set to make his Test debut after the Brumbies lock was drafted straight into the starting XV.

He will become 916th Wallaby when he runs out at Twickenham, and the Wallabies' 26th debutant since they were beaten by New Zealand in the 2015 World Cup final at the same venue.

Friday also saw Australia finalise their bench, with coach Michael Cheika opting for a six-two split between forwards and backs.

Lopeti Timani was included with Henry Speight dropping off the extended bench announced by Cheika on Thursday.

Australia will be looking to end a run of four straight defeats against an England side coached by former Wallaby boss Eddie Jones.

The visitors will leapfrog England into second place in the world rankings of they win on Saturday.

But if Jones's men avoid defeat they will remain second to Australia's third in a table topped by New Zealand.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 16:30 SA time.
