Cape Town - EP Rugby president Andre Rademan says they are working behind the scenes to address the recent poor on-field performances.

It was yet another ugly weekend for the Port Elizabeth-based union, with two of their teams suffering humiliating losses.

The EP Under-21 side lost 173-0 to Western Province at the Despatch Rugby Club, while the EP Elephants Currie Cup First Division side lost 101-29 to the Valke at the Barnard Stadium in Kempton Park.

Rademan told SA Rugbymag that he has set up a meeting for Tuesday with the union’s top brass.

“I have summoned the coaches to be there. I am going to make a radical decision. Before that, I cannot comment.”

The EP Under-21 side have now conceded 610 points in their five losses this season (an average of 122 per match) and have scored a paltry 27.

The Currie Cup First Division side have also lost all five their matches and conceded 273 points (an average of 55 per match) and scored 110.

Meanwhile, the EP Under-19 side fared somewhat 'better' in 'only' losing 47-18 to WP Under-19, also at the Despatch Rugby Club.

It is no surprise, however, to learn that the EP Under-19s are still searching for their maiden win in this year's tournament and sit bottom of the standings after 11 matches, having scored 136 points and conceded 755 for an average losing score of 69-12.

To wrap up a miserable weekend of results, the Southern Kings, playing in the PRO14, were belted 54-14 by the Llanelli Scarlets in Wales on Saturday night.
