Durban - The Sharks on Monday announced that loose forward Keegan Daniel, who spent two seasons with Kubota in Japan, will be making a return to Durban for the 2016 Super Rugby season.

With 199 caps to date for the Sharks, 59 of those as captain, he also led the team to Currie Cup glory in 2013.

Daniel has always been a fierce competitor and he will bring strong leadership and experience to the team environment, which will greatly benefit the youngsters in the Sharks squad.

Commenting on his signing, Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold told the Sharks’ official website: “Keegan’s record at the Sharks speaks volumes about the impact he had at this franchise as well as the calibre of player he is.

“We look forward to welcoming him home.”
