Cape Town - Saturday's 37-10 win over Australia at Eden Park in Auckland saw the current New Zealand side become the most successful in the history of the game.

It was the 18th straight Test match that coach Steve Hansen's side had won, becoming the first top-tier nation to do so.

Two previous New Zealand sides and one Springbok side had won 17 Tests in a row, but the record now belongs outright to the All Blacks of today.

The streak began in 2015, a match before the start of that year's Rugby World Cup, with a win over Australia, ironically also in Auckland.

Here, we look at the path the All Blacks took on their way to greatness.
