Last month before the start of the domestic season, SAFA CEO Dennis Mumble revealed that the corporation cannot afford to broadcast any Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana matches as the SABC still owes the football association over R50 million from their previous deal - which ended in April 2018.

"They (the SABC) have just been refusing to enter into an agreement with us because they say they do not have any money. So, what they want to do is substantially reduce the fee that we charge them, or they paid during the last contract," Mumble revealed at the time.

Prior to this announcement the SABC also pulled the plug on broadcasting Absa Premiership matches live on radio before making a u-turn following a huge public uproar from frequent listeners.

However, with Bafana Bafana set to face Libya at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, the broadcasting service are ready to showcase the match live on Saturday afternoon.

"We will be broadcasting it live on SABC 1, including all of our African language radio stations, as well as Radio 2000," said SABC spokesperson Neo Momodu, as quoted by KickOff website.

Meanwhile, Momodu has confirmed that talks between the two organisations are still ongoing as the seek to resolve the issue.

"I don't know if you can call it a problem or a challenge or whatever you wanna call it," he said.

"Discussions between SABC and SAFA, they are still ongoing. What is relevant to the SABC at this stage is the fact that they will be getting the game."

Kick-off on Saturday is at 15:00
