South Africa's road to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) ended abruptly on Sunday evening.

A shocking 2-0 away defeat to Sudan, the 127th-ranked team in the world, ended it when Bafana Bafana only needed a draw to secure qualification.

The Sudanese booked their Afcon ticket, along with African powerhouse Ghana, from Group C.
