Cape Town - Amajita coach Thabo Senong said his troops need some inspiration after their 2-1 loss to Japan at the FIFA under-20 World Cup on Sunday.
Senong said the youngsters are stressed by the results and will need to go into their following match against Italy on Wednesday with their bells on.
"We are disappointed by the results but we are not discouraged," said Senong.
"We have to refresh the boys a bit. Obviously they are a bit stressed after the loss yesterday but we have to go on and make sure they are refreshed for the next match,” said Senong.
Senong said in making sure that the loss does not deter his boys in the subsequent fixtures, they are infiltrating positivity in the camp.
"It is important that we deal with the psychological part of the players. We need to motivate them. We still have six points to fight for," said Senong.
Amajita lost to a patient Japanese side that trailed them 1-0 going into the halt time break after Grant Margeman's deflected strike found the net eight minutes into the match.
They led conceded three minutes from the half-time break with a tap in from Koki Ogawa who missed a few chances in the first-half.
Japan then scored a winner through Ritsu Doan’s effort in the 72nd minute.
Amajita will finish off their round robin matches with Uruguay on Saturday, May 27 at Incheon Stadium.
They still stand a good chance to bounce back, currently sitting at number three with a minus one goal deficit just above Italy who lost 1-0 to Uruguay.
