Cape Town - Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc had few complaints after a 2-1 win on Tuesday gave them the advantage in their Champions League Round of 16 clash with Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 champions hosted the first leg at Parc des Princes, and took the lead through Zlatan Ibrahimovic late in the first half, only for John Obi Mikel to equalise for the Blues just before the break.

Blanc then introduced Edinson Cavani in the second half, and the Uruguayan striker volleyed home in the 78th minute to give PSG an aggregate lead for the second leg at Stamford Bridge three weeks later.

"The big regret is to have conceded that goal just before the break," Blanc said, aware that this is the third consecutive time they have been paired with Chelsea in the knockout rounds, and both the previous ties were decided by away goals.

"Chelsea had chances and could have scored at another time, but it's still a shame to have conceded from a corner at that time. This match proves that our philosophy hasn't changed.

"From a footballing point of view, I am very happy with my team's performance, which wasn't necessarily the case in recent matches. This was a clash of styles and it was a great game.

"We need to go the Stamford Bridge with the aim of scoring. We will almost certainly have chances. We have to take them. Our lead could have been bigger at the end of this first-leg."
