Cape Town - Swansea City manager Paul Clement has made it clear that the club has no intention of off-loading their top players during the upcoming transfer window.

The Swans finished the Premier League season in 15th position thanks to the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente.

The pair have been linked with moves to Everton and Chelsea respectively, but Clement insists Swansea don't need to sell because they have strengthened their finances by finished 15th.

"It's very clear for us. We don't want to sell him [Sigurdsson] or any of our best players," Clement said, according to Sky Sports.

"We want to keep our best players and strengthen, not get weaker. We're not a club that needs to sell.

"We want to keep them here, we want to strengthen and I think Gylfi, Fernando and the others have enjoyed the second half of the season.

"They can see this is a club that shouldn't have been fighting relegation, they should have been doing a lot better."
