Cape Town - Liverpool's owners are said to be 'relaxed' despite manager Jurgen Klopp's recent suggestion that he could be set for another sabbatical in 2022.

Klopp sent the football world into a clickbait frenzy with his recent comments about taking a potential sabbatical.

The German suggested he could take a year out of football when his Liverpool contract expires in 2022.

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are quite sensibly 'relaxed' about the situation, considering it will not even be relevant for another three years.

Sky Sports News reporter Alan Myers revealed how those at Anfield have reacted to the furore.

"Klopp's relationship with FSG and the Liverpool hierarchy is good and it is understood that, at this stage, the club are not concerned about something that may or may not happen three years from now," he wrote.

"There is an acceptance that things can change in football and the club are relaxed at the present moment."
