Cape Town - Hugo Lloris could be sidelined for up to two weeks after injuring himself in the 3-1 defeat of Real Madrid on Wednesday.

While Tottenham are yet to comment on the injury, France head coach Didier Deschamps revealed that his national team captain had suffered "a tear of the big adductor - upon naming his latest squad.

Lloris collided with Sergio Ramos in the second-half of the Champions League tie, but soldiered on and finished the game.

With France playing friendlies with Wales on Tuesday 10 November and Germany on November 14, Lloris was expected to lead his team, but Deschamps added: "He has undergone tests this morning, he'll be out for at least 15 days."

After the game, Lloris had told beIN SPORTS "I felt something when I landed" after jumping to claim a cross.

He will miss Tottenham's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday but could be back to face Arsenal on November 18.

Tottenham will, meanwhile, wait to hear on the seriousness of the hamstring injury suffered by Toby Alderweireld during the same game.
