Cape Town - Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has challenged his team to keep their position in the top four following a 2-0 victory over Brighton at Wembley on Wednesday.

Spurs were one of the biggest movers in midweek as they climbed from seventh to fourth in the Premier League, after Liverpool and Arsenal both dropped points.

Goals in each half from Serge Aurier (40') and Son Heung-Min (87') made it three straight wins in all competitions for Pochettino's side, who are now unbeaten in their last three top-flight games since losing 2-1 at Leicester.

With a trip to league leaders Manchester City next up on Saturday, the Argentine coach wants his players to keep the pressure on the clubs around them in the table.

"I think it's fantastic for us, three victories in a row - so important for us," Pochettino said.

"I'm happy with the performance. It's good to feel again that we are in the top four and it's so important to keep this position now."

Commenting on the performance against the defensive-minded Seagulls, he added: "The team deserved it, we dominated the game.

"We deserved to go to half-time winning the game, [the win was important to] believe and fight for the Premier League.

"We created a lot of chances, it's not easy to play when the opponent play in that formation to try only to stop you to play."

Kick off is at 19:30.
