Cape Town - Morgan Schneiderlin admits there's room for improvement in his performances at Manchester United as they target a strong finish to the campaign.

Since joining the Red Devils from Southampton in the off-season, the France international has been in and out the first-team squad, although his form has steadily improved with each appearance.

"When I first came I had big expectations and, of course, I wanted to play for the title and I wanted to have a big impact straight away on everything. It's a new philosophy and a new thing to take on board," he told MUTV.

"I had some good games and a good spell but there's a lot of competition and so even in my time when I didn't play every game I was still learning, still trying to improve and doing my best.

"Since the weeks went on in the season I've felt better and better and of course I know I have plenty more to show to everyone and plenty more in my locker."

Despite United falling short in the title race this season with a severe drop in form during the festive period, the former Strasbourg man feels there's still plenty to play for, especially after their vital 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

United next face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, April 10.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
