Cape Town - Maurizio Sarri held his post-match press conference following Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Liverpool in near darkness after requesting that lights be turned off.

Sarri requested the lights to be switched off, citing a problem with his left eye, comically leaving the room in almost complete darkness to the bemusement of journalist and TV cameras.

Just as in midweek when Eden Hazard came off the bench to win the game for Chelsea with a stunning individual run and finish, Liverpool were undone by a moment of magic from The Blues' number 10.

Sarri has also routinely insisted Chelsea can't challenge Liverpool or City for the title, but admitted his side are closer than he thought after two meetings with Liverpool.

"No, I think they are further forward," said the Italian when asked if Chelsea are title contenders. "But I think also we are more close than I thought one week ago."
