Cape Town - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has once again hit back at his critics, saying he will not be forced into spending money in the transfer market.

The Gunners played a goalless draw with champions Leicester City on Saturday, but Wenger left the King Power Stadium to a chorus of boos from his own supporters.

The Arsenal boss has been criticised for not beefing up his squad while rivals such as Manchester United and Manchester City have spent millions on players.

Having last won the league title in 2004, the fans are getting impatient but Wenger insists he will only splash the cash if he can find the right players.

Wenger said after the Leicester game: "The fans are highly influenced by the media and that's part of the process today.

"We try to make the right decisions. We have a whole team working on strengthening the team. I am not the only one. If we can find players who can strengthen our team then we will do that.

"It is a bit surprising that we come out of a football match and we do not speak about the football, we speak about money."
