Timo Werner's switch to a marketing agency owned by Jurgen Klopp's manager has lent some credibility to reports suggesting the German forward will join Liverpool in the off-season.

Werner has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with both the player and Jurgen Klopp publicly revealing their admiration for each other in recent months.

Reports have indicated that Werner's preference remains to move to Liverpool, or to stay at Leipzig for another season.

Although, according to Calciomercato, Werner has begun to consider interest from Inter, having previously discarded any thoughts about moving to the Italian top flight.

German outlet Bild though have always maintained that Liverpool are at the head of the queue for the 24-year-old. And Bild head of football Christian Falk has revealed that Werner has recently changed his marketing agency to one owned by Jurgen Klopp's manager.

Falk told lfctransferroom: "According to our information, the clause is €55 million as a base value and can grow to €60million if RB Leipzig makes it into the Champions League.

"And yes, I think this transfer is happening. Interestingly, Werner now has a new social media and marketing agency.

"The boss of this agency is also Jurgen Klopp's manager.

"Werner is also talking a lot about Liverpool in the public eye now too…"

Werner, who has netted 27 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions this season, has not by shy in his admiration of Liverpool.

"I know that Liverpool is the best team at the moment in the world and when you are linked with that team it makes me very proud," he said after his goal against Spurs earlier this year.

"It's a pleasure but I know that Liverpool play a lot of good players and I have to improve myself and I need to learn many more things to get to that level and to play there.

"Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world," he said. "There is a lot to suggest that my style of play would suit there (Liverpool)."
