Cape Town - Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp says that his side are "still alive, still fighting" after their 2-2 draw with second-placed Wolfsburg on Wednesday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring for Dortmund, but Wolfsburg equalised through Kevin De Bruyne, and although Ciro Immobile’s strike restored BVB's lead, Naldo's late header ensured a share of the spoils.

"To pull it off against such an opponent was still good, even if it was stupid to concede an equaliser from a corner," Football411 quotes Klopp as saying. "We both had good opportunities".

Klopp concluded that it was a good result for his struggling side against the team who are chasing runaway leaders Bayern Munich.

"Whether you're first or fifth, a 2-2 against Wolfsburg is not a bad result," he said. "The match today was absolutely positive in many areas. We can build on it."

Although the German manager was pleased with the result, it leaves BVB 16th in the Bundesliga table, still in the relegation zone and just one point above bottom-placed Werder Bremen, who they play on Saturday.
