Cape Town - Johannesburg will be the new home for FIFA's regional office as the world football governing body's Botswana base is set to close down.

According to the SowetanLIVE, Ashford Mamelodi, who is a development officer for the football governing body, had his office taken from him in Botswana.

It has been revealed that former PSL CEO, Kjitel Siem, who is currently serving as a FIFA strategic director, has been in the country to start getting things in place for the big move.

FIFA have been under scrutiny since 2015 following several corruption scandals that include bribery, fraud and money laundering.

While FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, continues to inflict change since taking over from Sepp Blatter, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been probing individuals and corporations who have been allegedly involved in any corruption scandal within the FIFA structures.
