Cape Town - Arsenal
striker Alexandre Lacazette believes his performance in the 2-2
international friendly draw against Germany on Tuesday is his best yet
The 26-year-old netted a brace for Les Bleus in Cologne, slotting home in the 33rd and 71st minutes, with assists coming in from Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe.
"It's my best match for France, there's no debate about that. The coach told me it was good," Lacazette told the press after the game.
The Lyon youth product was substituted for Antoine Griezmann by manager Didier Deschamps in the 76th minute.
Lacazette added: "When he brought me off, he made a little joke that will stay between us. Other than that, he congratulated me.
"It's encouraging, it's good. It's one of the first matches in which I was really a centre-forward, which is my position, in a big game. Of course I'm happy."
