Cape Town - Belgian side KV Oostende on Friday announced that it has parted ways with Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali after more than four years of service to the club.

The 28-year had recently confirmed that he will be making his way back to the Absa Premiership, where he has been linked with a return to former club, Orlando Pirates, or a reuniting with former national team coach, Pitso Mosimane at Mamelodi Sundowns.

He played over 100 matches since joining Oostende in 2014.

Jali’s contract with Oostende was set to expire in June, but the club has confirmed that it has granted the South African international an early release in order to return to his country.

The midfielder has been out nursing a knee injury and has not been able to play for the Belgian side in recent months.

The statement on the club's official website said: "The contract between KVO and Andile Jali will be broken by mutual agreement. Jali leaves with immediate to his native South Africa.

"We thank Andile for his 4-and-a-half years at KVO and we wish him every success in his native country."
