Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes dropping points away to Guinea's Horoya and Togo's As Togo-Port could prove costly in the CAF Champions League.

In the away-leg, Sundowns were leading 2-1 in the final 10 minutes against Horoya following strikes from Khama Billiat and Gaston Sirino, however, they conceded an equaliser late on in the contest back in May.

Against the Togolese, the Brazilians had a number of golden opportunities to score though they were punished when Ayi Hunlede hit the winner in Group C.

The Brazilians are in third position with five points and need a victory against Horoya to send them through to the knockout stages.

“We know why we are where we are, because we made two big mistakes,” Mosimane said.

“One mistake is the game in Horoya in Guinea. We conceded a goal in the last minute. We were 2-1 up and with four minutes to go we concede.

"The game in Togo I don't want to talk about it. That game is sickening. We should have scored maybe five goals, but we lost the match.

"When we came to South Africa after five days we dominated (against Togo-Port) and we won the match."

Sundowns take on Horoya on Tuesday, August 28 in their final Group C clash.

Kick-off is at 18:00.
