Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have just one day to prepare to face SuperSport United next Sunday due to their CAF Champions League away trip to face Leones Vegeteranios.

Initially, the Tshwane derby was scheduled to take place on Saturday however the Premier Soccer League rescheduled the match for Sunday due to the long trip back from Equatorial Guinea.

The Brazilians face Vegeteranios on Wednesday but will only jet back into South Africa on Friday.

Sundowns had a long journey to get to the Central African country as they had to connect via Ethiopia to get to their destination.

The reigning Absa Premiership champions were supposed to face Black Leopards in a league clash on Wednesday this week, but that game has since been postponed.

In addition, the club's league clash on the following Tuesday against Maritzburg United, after the SuperSport game at the Lucas Moripe Stadium (15:30), has also been postponed by the league.

It appears the 2016 African champions will have to rotate their squad smartly during this testing period in order to manage the excessive workload and traveling involved.
