Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa says that they can’t allow Bloemfontein Celtic dominate them when the two sides lock horns in the Sparta Macufe Cup.

According to Kaizer Chiefs website, Maphosa says that be it any game they will always have one thing in mind and that is winning.

“We can't let Bloemfontein Celtic dominate us in a match, be it a friendly or an official match,” assures Maphosa about Sunday’s clash.

“We bring a full strength team. The only missing players will be Itumeleng Khune, Erick Mathoho and George Lebese, who are on duty with the South African national team.”

The Cup is part of the Macufe Arts and Culture Festival happening this week in Bloemfontein.

“The last time we won the trophy was back in 2011, which is a worrying statistic,” reflects Maphosa.

“This doesn't gel well with who we are. We are Cup Kings and the number one football brand in South Africa.”

The match is scheduled to take place at the Free State Stadium on Sunday, October 11.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
