Cape Town – Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Zane Moosa believes the eight players the club have signed are not quality enough.

Chiefs have added Camaldine Abraw, Siyanda Xulu, Bongani Ndulula, Siphelele Mthembu, Keegan Ritchie, Sula Matovu, Daniel Cardoso and Edward Manqele to the squad ahead of the 2015/16 season.

According to Goal website, Moosa reveals that the players Chiefs brought in are not good enough to challenge the players who are 30-years-old and over.

“They haven’t changed their squad much. And the squad is also a case where they have players who are getting on in terms of age and they have been playing basically with the same team for the last few seasons,” Moosa says.

“It’s bound to catch up with you! They haven’t really beefed up the team with a lot of quality. They have signed players, but if you are a team as big as Chiefs you should be attracting the best players, because they have got the moola (money), a lot of sponsors and support and those that they signed are still finding their feet in the team.

“But they haven’t really made wholesale signings, even those they brought in are not really regulars except for (Siyanda) Xulu,” Moosa stated.
