Cape Town - Orlando Pirates forward Thamsanqa Gabuza admits that he feels honoured to be nominated for a CAF award.

Gabuza along with club team-mates Kermit Erasmus, Oupa Manyisa and Felipe Ovono have been nominated for CAF's Africa-based Player of the Year Award.

The Buccaneers have had a strenuous schedule over the last few months having stretched their way to the CAF Confederation Cup final against Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel

According to Orlando Pirates official Twitter account, Gabuza says that winning the two-leg final will be a great way to end the competition.

"It's an honour to be shortlisted with Shorty [Erasmus] over here. It will be great if we get all the way to the end," Gabuza is quoted as saying by Pirates on Twitter.

"We aren't looking too far ahead though. We're just keeping our feet on the ground and letting the performances do the talking.

"I'd like to thank the people who have made it possible for me to get nominated. My team, the coaches, everyone."
