***CHIEFS EXTEND THEIR LEAD AT THE TOP OF THE PSL LOG***

A much better second half in the Soweto Derby but Chiefs took their chances, and actually could have had a third goal.  Pirates tried very hard to get back into the match, but could not find a goal and Chiefs killed the game off on the stroke of full time.

Pirates 0 - 2 Chiefs (Tshabalala 51', Mthembu 92')

***FULL TIME IN THE SOWETO DERBY AT FNB STADIUM***

Pirates 0 - 2 Chiefs

06 Dec 2014

90' +2 - It's all over now.  Chiefs break quickly down the right, the Pirates defence was stretched and an inch perfect cross found Mthembu who had managed to get ahead of his marker to slot home past Mhlongo.

06 Dec 2014

GOAL - KAIZER CHIEFS!

06 Dec 2014

90' +2  - A corner to Pirates comes to nothing as Erasmus fouls Khuzwayo.

06 Dec 2014

90' - There will be four minutes of added time for Pirates to find an equaliser.  Pirates 0 - 1 Chiefs.

06 Dec 2014

84' - Chiefs substitution. Parker is replaced by Gould.

06 Dec 2014

84' - The corner is initially cleared by Chiefs but only comes out to Myeni but his shot is blasted over the bar.

06 Dec 2014

80' - Pirates substitution. Klate replaced by Matlaba.

06 Dec 2014

80' - Myeni does well on the right for Pirates, sends in a cross right across the face of goal, but no Pirates players were on hand to steer home.   Pirates trying hard for an equaliser!  Still Pirates 0 - 1 Chiefs.

06 Dec 2014

76' - Chiefs substitution.  Masango is replaced by Lebese.

06 Dec 2014

75' - Chiefs carve out another chance down the other end, but again a poor final ball is letting them down.

06 Dec 2014

73' - A Pirates corner causes some confusion as Khuzwayo comes for it but can't get to it.  It is headed well over by a Pirates player.

06 Dec 2014

Will Letsholonyane's miss come to haunt Chiefs.  It's still Pirates 0 - 1 Chiefs.

06 Dec 2014

06 Dec 2014

68' - Pirates substitutions.  Ntshumayelo is replaced by Makola. Majoro is replaced by Erasmus. Pirates still will not play the two of them up front together.

06 Dec 2014

66' - Another chances goes a begging, a lightning quick counter attack find Tshabalala in space on the right, he cuts inside and has a shot across the face of goal.  He had support surging into the box, he could have looked to supply a pass to them as his angle was to tight to shoot.

06 Dec 2014

64' - Chiefs should have a second, Parker again the provider from the left but Letsholonyane half scuffed shot comes off the corner frame of the goal.  He really should have buried that!  Still Pirates 0 - 1 Chiefs.

06 Dec 2014

58' - First chance of the half to Pirates as Myeni shot is deflected just over the bar for a corner. Khuzwayo is fouled from the resulting corner.

06 Dec 2014

48' - All Chiefs so far this second half but still 0-0 at the FNB stadium.

06 Dec 2014

***HALF TIME IN THE SOWETO DERBY***

A very cagey affair.  There have been one or two chances, most notably to Nkhatha who headed over for Chiefs and Ntshumayelo who hit the side netting for Pirates.

Pirates 0 - 0 Chiefs

06 Dec 2014

45' +1 - Nothing from the corner as Chiefs are penalised for a foul on Mhlongo.

43' - Tshabalala with another long range effort.  It was still climbing as it sailed 10 metres over the bar.

06 Dec 2014

41' - Still 0-0 in the Soweto Derby, very cagey game so far, as it often is.

06 Dec 2014

37' - Great chance for Pirates as Ntshumayelo drops his shoulder, beats his man and lets fly... into the side netting.

06 Dec 2014

35' - Still 0-0 in the Soweto Derby!

06 Dec 2014

33'  - A good period for Chiefs, they are doing well down the right flank.  Tshabalala tries a through ball but it is to strong for Parker and Mhlongo who is ever alert, collects.

06 Dec 2014

31' - This time it is Chiefs with some nice passing to work some space.  The ball is pulled back to Letsholonyane but he has left his shooting boots at home and he shoots well over.
