Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces striker Collins Mbesuma hopes to return to the heights that saw him score 35 goals in the Absa Premiership for Kaizer Chiefs in 2005.

The Zambian marksman has rediscovered some of the form that saw him light up the South African top flight and win the golden boot in comfortable fashion.

Mbesuma has also made a return to the national team - contributing a goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Kenya last month in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

"As a striker, you have to fight to be top scorer each and every season and that is what I am doing. I am headed to be top scorer," Mbesuma told Post Zambia.

"I am working hard to be back as a permanent feature in the national team but at the end of the day it is up to the coach to include me in the team."
