Cape Town - Orlando Pirates stand-in captain Rooi Mahamutsa has urged his team-mates to shift focus from the CAF Confederations Cup to their Telkom Knockout clash against University of Pretoria.

The Buccaneers are through to this year's continental final after seeing off Al Ahly 5-3 on aggregate in the semi-final, leading to claims the Soweto giants may be tempted to neglect their domestic obligations.

However, Mahamutsa, who has skippered Pirates in the absence of the injured Oupa Manyisa, has set his sights on first advancing to the quarter-finals of the TKO, where they face AmaTuks in the last-16 at the Orlando Stadium on October 16.

"The more we play, the more we remain focused for the games we have to play," Mahamutsa told Soccer Laduma.

"Our next game is against Tuks and we have to focus on that and win it. We have to continue winning and keep the momentum as we wait for the CAF Confederation Cup final."

Pirates will square off against Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia in the Confed Cup final, which will be played over two legs, with the first fixture coming on November 21 at the Orlando Stadium.
