Cape Town - AmaZulu have promoted two players, Bayanda Shangase and Olwethu Mzimela, from the Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) side into the senior squad.
Shangase is a 20-year-old forward while Mzimela is two years younger than Shangase and is a goalkeeper.
Both players have impressed Usuthu head coach Jozef Vukuzic and the Serbian mentor said bringing more youngsters into the first team this season.
In quotes published on the AmaZulu website, Vukuzic said: "They are young players with a lot of promise.
"For sure with a bit of strong guidance there is no reason they can't be part of the team in future matches.
"It is all about them working hard from this point on because if for some reason they also don't, they'll probably be others that can put their hands up."
AmaZulu travel to Baroka on Sunday in an Absa Premiership encounter.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
