Cape Town - Absa Premiership leaders Golden Arrows have denied reports claiming that coach Clinton Larsen has been sacked.

The Citizen newspaper published an article on Tuesday morning claiming the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Maritzburg United boss had been axed.

This despite Abafana Bes'thende's outstanding start to the season.

Arrows are top of the Premiership table after three wins from their first four games, and CEO Gordon Masondo was left fuming by the reports.

"The people responsible for this false story will be categorically dealt with," he said.

"This is not a spaza shop club, this is a professional club and this information being put in the public domain is absolutely false.

"They are trying to destabalise our club and will be dealt with."

The Durbanites host SuperSport United in their latest league outing on Wednesday.
