Cape Town - Lucky Baloyi is hoping Kaizer Chiefs can continue to maintain their new-found consistency as they bid to defend their Premiership title.

Amakhosi picked two wins in a space of a week for the first time this season - since April last year in fact - after beating Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United.

With just over 10 games remaining in the 2015/16 calendar, Baloyi has urged Steve Komphela's side to keep the momentum going so they can close the gap on runaway leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

"We have been disappointed this season for not winning games on the trot and we are looking forward to get more consistency," the midfielder said.

"If you can check we win one and we draw one and we lose one...and that is not what we want. We want to be consistent so from now on that is what we told ourselves we have do. It is vital we do that in the closing weeks of the season."

Fourth-placed Chiefs can take a big stride towards rectifying the wrongs of the campaign by beating second-placed Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday night.
