Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic have announced that Musa Bilankulu has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The defender brings to an end a two-year spell at the Free State Stadium, having joined from Bidvest Wits in January 2014.

Bilankulu had been a regular fixture for Phunya Sele Sele this season, starting 12 of their 14 Premiership games, but he becomes the third player to depart Bloemfontein this week.

Celtic confirmed earlier in the day that Tumelo Mogapi had been released, while Hellings Mhango saw his deal rescinded on Tuesday after agreeing a pre-contract with Wits.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Bloemfontein Celtic has harmoniously parted ways with defender Musa Bilankulu after he asked the team to release him."

Managing Director Rali Ramabodu added: "Musa asked for his clearance and because of his professional conduct in dealing with the matter we agreed.

"He served the team with absolute distinction and we wish him all of the best with his future endeavours."
