Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Leonardo Castro has explained how he is able to communicate with fellow forward Khama Billiat in a non-verbal manner during matches.

Castro was signed from Mamelodi Sundowns in January, with Billiat arriving from the same team just over six months later.

Together with Keagan Dolly, the trio were previously dubbed the 'CBD' combination at Masandawana.

Castro and Billiat have wasted no time in renewing their relationship at Chiefs and have already banged in six goals between them this season.

The Colombian is excited about the attacking talent around him, and made special mention of the understanding he has with Zimbabwean international Billiat.

"We know the strengths of each one – [Siphelele] Ntshangase is a good passer so as the strikers we need to move all the time to create space for him to pass the ball," Castro was quoted saying by KickOff.

"Even [Dumisani] Zuma is a quick player who is very good at dribbling, so he also provides the ball for us [strikers].

"As for Billiat, we know each other so we just look with our eyes and take note of which movements we make and where the ball is going, so it's easier for me to play with Billiat.

"Last season we struggled with scoring goals. With Billiat now, the soccer up front is easier so that means Khama makes our jobs easier."

Next up for Amakhosi is a league match away at Cape Town City on September 15.
