Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United could not be separated as the sides played to 1-1 draw at Dr Molemela Stadium on Saturday.
Celtic won a penalty in the eighth minute for a foul on Lucky Baloyi by Mduduzi Sibeko and Victor Letsoalo slotted the penalty into the bottom right corner.
A great move by Chippa soon afterwards culminated with Peter Maloisane dancing through the Siwelele defense but he shot straight at keeper Sipho Chaine.
Anthony Laffor then shot straight at the keeper after a slick interchange of passes between him and Andile Mbenyane.
With five minutes to go before half-time, Chaine pulled off a great save from Mbenyane's well struck volley.
Phunya Sele Sele were reduced to ten men in the 43rd minute when Mhazima Rikhotso was sent for an early shower after a late tackle on Laffor.
Ten minutes after the interval Isaac Nhlapo's header from the right side of the box missed to the left after he met Mbenyane's free-kick.
In the 66th minute, Sifiso Ngobeni conceded a corner and Hanamub whipped it in for Dan Malesela's side but Frederic Nsabiyumva's header was high and wide to the left.
The Chilli Boys equalised in the 73rd minute after Bienvenu Eva Nga tapped home from a nicely placed cross from Riaan Hanamub.
John Maduka's side exerted plenty of late pressure but lacked the required quality in the final third and Chippa will be the happier of the two sides to have come away with a point.
